Cheap Pizza made cheaper

Tonight Molly & I are having Little Ceasars Pizza.  I remember the good old days when my friend Mike Leung and I would ride our bikes to Little Ceasars and get personal pan pizzas.  It was a great thing to do in the summer when you were bored.  They kinda went off the map for a while, but they're back again with more stores around the Lincoln area.

We love to take advantage of their $5.55 Hot N' Ready Pizza deal.  Now you can make that deal even sweeter with a coupon from http://lincolncoupons.com  Just do a quick search under the "pizza" category and remember to select your nearest Little Ceasars before printing the coupon.  This makes your pizza $5 plus tax, so $5.35 total.

UPDATE: Molly just got home and they have a deal on Monday's that your Hot N' Ready pizza is only $5 without the coupon.

Survey Says:

Have you joined a survey site like e-Rewards yet? They can be fun ways to make money or earn products. I just took an e-Rewards survey today that, after asking all about my hair, asked if I'd be interested in trying out a new shampoo for a couple of weeks and providing feedback. I love those kind of things! There aren't a lot of great reward options on e-Rewards, but you can earn free 'previously viewed' DVDs from Blockbuster (you pick them out) and lots of different free magazines.

Ryan has recently become an Opinion Outpost member and has quickly been racking up the dollars-- and this site pays you in cash! Only one member per household can sign up. I've also heard they are especially interested in men's opinions.

I know there are lots of other good survey sites out there... I like these two because the surveys are usually short. Anyone else have a good one?

Coupons for The Limited

I got some coupons in my email for The Limited today. Some pretty good ones: 40% off a top, 40% off a trench, $30 off any dress, BOGO on accessories. Since I don't have my 'tech support' team right here, just let me know if you'd like me to forward these coupons to you and I'll pass along the savings! Or stay tuned-- I'm sure Ryan or Tom will figure out a way to bring these coupons to the masses;)

What, more Target?

Today I had a chance to try out the deal I told you about earlier in the week (here). It worked marvelously, dharling. This was also my first chance to try out the new Target mobile coupon-- it was easy; no problems at all. I was so excited that Target had all the components I needed to make this deal work!

I used a $5 Target gift card I had gotten during a previous deal when paying, so all in all I paid $12.88 out-of-pocket (includes tax), got $15 worth of Target gift cards, and will receive $15 in the mail from Olay. Ole`!
Oh and one other note: if you buy $50 worth of any P&G product, you can submit your receipt for their "Year of Savings" coupon booklet here.

Free iTunes at Target Starbucks

So, if you haven't noticed, I've been spending some time at Target recently. Yesterday I stopped in the Starbucks at Super Target and grabbed a Mocha Latte (I had a Catalina coupon that had printed at checkout during my last visit!). Next to the register was a little card holder that had cards good for a free iTunes download. I asked the barista if I could just take one and she told me to take a bunch-- so I did!

Special K Fruit Crisp deal

Another reason to head to Target! As if I needed a reason.

Buy 5 Special K Fruit Crisps on sale for $2.50 each
Use (5) $1/1 coupons from here (you'll need access to 3 computers to print this many, as you can only print two per machine)
=$12.50 total -$5 in coupons
=$7.50 plus you get a $5 gift card

I also used a $5 GC I had previously gotten, so I only had to pay $2.50 out of pocket and also received another $5 GC-- yeah!

I have to say, though, I was a little disappointed in how little these snacks are. I guess 100 calories doesn't get you much;) They do taste good, though-- very much like a frosting-less pop tart but better:)

UNL Athletics- Free ticket

Last week Ryan's friend Tim was nice enough to give us a couple tickets to the University of Nebraska-Lincoln men's basketball game. It was a fun time! We bought some popcorn & pop and Ryan noticed that the box top was redeemable for entrance to a future UNL athletic event...and not just for one, but for "you and four other people"-- up to 5 can get in for free! Event tickets include gymnastics, soccer, softball, wrestling, swimming & diving, track & field, & women's basketball. Considering the popcorn was just $2, we thought that was a pretty good deal:) In fact, Tom, Ryan & I went to the undefeated UNL women's basketball game this last Wednesday! This promotion ends May 1, 2010.

Free Backyard Burger!

Sign up here!

Join their e-club & receive a coupon for a free 1/3lb burger or grilled chicken sandwich.
Sorry, there's no Backyard Burger in Omaha, but there is one in Lincoln-- it's near the southeast Walmart at 8500 Andermatt Drive.

Receive up to $50 in 3 months from Hy-Vee

Have you used one of these prescription coupons at Hy-Vee yet?!

If you haven't filled a prescription at Hy-Vee before, or if you can transfer a prescription to Hy-Vee, you may cash in big!

There are a series of three coupons out for Hy-Vee pharmacies right now. Here's how they work:
Coupon 1: A new customer fills a new prescription or transfers a prescription from any other pharmacy, receive a $15 Hy-Vee gift card.

Coupon 2: Refill your prescription the first time and receive a $10 gift card

Coupon 3: Refill your prescription for the second time and receive a $25 gift card!

I had the chance to try this out recently and it was easy to do. I only had one refill on the prescription, so I only got $25 worth of gift cards, but I think that's great considering I had to get the prescription either way!

I love that there always seems to be a place that is offering these prescription deals. I've gotten $50 at CVS before, $10 at Target, and now this deal:)

One thing you may want to keep in mind... prescription costs vary from store to store, so I usually call around to find out how much the prescription will be before I take it in. It's not a good deal to get a gift card somewhere if the prescription itself is gonna cost too much!

Do you need a set of these coupons? Let me know in the feedback and I'll send you a set!
(the coupons expire 2/28, 3/31 & 4/30, respectively)

Healthy Choice Mixers

Well, I feel a little guilting posting this deal I got since I'm not sharing how to actually do it until now, which is too late:( It was a little involved, though-- I bought 20 coupons from a member of A Full Cup (coupons were for $2/1 Healthy Choice Fresh Mixers). Target had a "buy 10 Healthy Choice Meals, get a $5 Target gift Card" deal last week and the Fresh Mixers were $2.50 each. Here's how it worked:

Transaction #1:
I bought 10 Healthy Choice Fresh Mixers @ $2.50 each
Total= $25
Minus (10) $2/1 coupons = $-20
Total= $5, plus I got a $5 Target gift card

Transaction #2:
I bought 10 more Healthy Choice Fresh Mixers @ $2.50 each
Total= $25
Minus (10) $2/1 coupons = $-20
Total $5
Paid for with gift card from trans. #1, plus I got another $5 Target gift card!

I did pay $0.10 each for the coupons plus the cost of a stamp. So, I paid about $0.37 each for these meals out-of-pocket. If you factor in the gift card, my total was more like $0.12 per meal!

Even though you can't actually still do this deal, I hope you'll find the idea of buying coupons you need helpful. Try checking ebay, trading for the coupons on A Full Cup, or buying them from a coupon clipping place like Coupons & Things By Dede!

Cheap Runza

Just a quick heads up for today, Runza's are $0.07 when you buy a fries and drink.  If you happen to be in Omaha, they are free today with fries and drink!  I don't like these freezing temps, but a hot runza in my belly sure makes me feel all warm and cuddly.

Super Saver Pepsi Deal

Just a heads up in case you didn't see the sale, Super Saver has a deal on Pepsi products.  You can get 2 cubes for $4.98 each, but you have to buy 2, which is also the limit.  This comes out to $0.21/can which is one of the better deals out there.  Time to take your family and line each family member up with 2 cubes and have them all go through the line separately!

Hy-Vee 2 Day Sale Ad out

Hy-Vee Sale ad is out. Nothing super impressive except maybe Dannon Yogurt for $0.19, Family Size Doritios/Cheetos/Frito Lay for $2.99, and Coleslaw for $0.99 (we got this during the last sale--it was good!). Check out the ad as well as some coupon match-ups at Chicks Dig Deals!

Target Text Message Coupons

I bet Ryan and Tom will enjoy this combination of technology & savings: sign up at Target and get coupons sent to your phone via text message! You'll get up to 5 messages per month and can choose your "preferred time" to receive the messages. Supposedly all you'll have to do then is hand your phone to the Target cashier who will be able to scan the barcode right on your phone for instant savings!

Chocolate Cheerios Revisited

Remember Tom's love of the Chocolate Cheerios? Well, he'll be happy to hear about this $1.25 off one box coupon! (Internet Explorer or Firefox)

Cheap Bread Store

Such a gloomy day today! Some good deals will make it brighter!

You know about this place, right? If not, you'll have to check it out. The Old Home Bakery Outlet, aka, The Cheap Bread Store is at about 48th & Old Cheney St. They don't take coupons here, but they do have enough good deals that you'll still come out pretty good. I can always find bread for around $1/loaf and they have other things (cookies, buns, muffins, mixes, etc) too. Look on the bottom shelves for the black slash = extra discounted items!

BOGO Milk

Print off this coupon for a free 1/2 gallon of chocolate milk when you buy a gallon of regular milk-- any brand! If you use a mac, you might want to print this through Firefox rather than Safari...it wouldn't go through for me when I tried it there first.

The Joy of Overages

So, remember that cereal deal I mentioned last week? Since I had forgotten to pick up a rain check for it the last time I was there and since yesterday was the last day of the sale, I stopped back in Russ's to pick up some. If you'll remember, the cereal was on sale 3 for $5, which means $1.67 if you buy just one box. My coupon was for $2/1 box. That means overages! Yea! Since I knew I was going to have a few extra cents to use up ($0.33 to be exact), I picked up around a pound of bananas (three bananas for $0.52). When I checked out at the register, my total was $0.19. The cashier seemed really surprised when she told me the total and then said, "Well, I guess that's about the cheapest breakfast you'll ever have!"

She doesn't know me, does she? ;)

Only two bananas are pictured because Ryan ate one for breakfast.
