Spaghetti Works anyone?

There is a groupon.com deal today that might interest you if you're looking for a cheap date night or just like food:) For $10 you can get a $20 gift certificate to Spaghetti Works. This offer is good in Omaha, Lincoln, Ralston, & Des Moines! The prices for the unlimited, all-you-can-eat pasta range from $5.99-$9.49, so the $20 should cover a couple people, if not more. Looks like you can also use 2 of these deals if you have 6 or more people at your table. If you've never used Groupon, it's really easy and there aren't any hidden fees. Give it a try!

Free Arby's

If you haven't been to Arby's lately, you need to go and fill out the survey on the back of the receipt. Once you do, you get a 4 digit # to validate the ticket. You then have the option of a free regular roast beef or beef n' cheddar with no purchase necessary. From then on you can essentially continue this pattern and have unlimited free sandwiches. Just be careful to take the survey in time and use the free sandwich before it expires.

Our new motto

I was watching some Seinfeld last night and happened to see "The Glasses" episode and couldn't help but post this clip from the episode. I think it fits our purpose perfectly. Hope you enjoy.

80% off Resturants.com deal

Here's a fun deal for a date night in Lincoln!

Visit Resturants.com and enter your zip code. Find 9 South Char Grill and select "$25 Gift Certificate; Your Price $10". Add it to your cart and check out using the 80% coupon code "FLAG". It will cost you $2 total. After your purchase, you'll be instantly able to print a $25 gift certificate to 9 South Char Grill.

Ryan and I tried this a few weeks ago and it was really fun! Keep in mind when you visit the restaurant you will be required to purchase $35 worth of food. "Well, if we have to" we said;) We got an appetizer, Ryan got a drink, we each ordered higher-priced entrees, and we also got dessert. Wow. Our total was just about $36, so minus the $25 GC (and plus the $2 to buy the GC), we got waaaay too much food for $13.

The coupon also states that 18% gratuity will be added to the pre-discounted bill amount, although they didn't actually add it in when we visited. Still, a great night for under $20...and lots of left overs:)

There are other restaurants you can order gift certificates to as well, but each has it's own special requirements. This one seemed like the best one to me-- the code is good through May 31st.

Happy Hour!

From now until May 16th (next Sunday), enjoy half price Frappucccino Blended beverages at Starbucks from 3 to 5PM! Now, if only this weather would warm up and you'd actually feel like ordering a cold drink...

Other places that have "happy hours":

Sonic-- 1/2 price drinks and slushes from 2 to 4PM

Select Scooters-- 1/2 priced drinks from 8 to 9PM (this might only be at the 4321 S 33rd location).

Dairy Queen-- 1/2 price soft drinks, shakes, & Arctic Rush frozen beverages from 2 to 4PM (may also include Moolattes frozen blended coffees and Orange Julius smoothies too, depending on location)

5 Tacos for $5

Happy Cinco de Mayo!

or, depending on your celebration plans, happy "Cinco de Mustache".

Enjoy 5 soft tacos for $5 (or 5 crisp meats) at Amigos today. Or if soft tacos aren't your fav (I don't why they wouldn't be!), you can visit their website for some downloadable coupons and to see the daily deals.

Funny story: I once called Amigos to find out the nutrition information for the cheese sauce and ranch (I was wondering which was the better of the two evils). The woman I talked to said, "Oh, I don't know, but I bet it's BAD".

Yes, on second thought, it's probably better I don't know.

5 tacos for $5 at Taco Johns too!

P.S. If you can buy AND eat 5 soft tacos yourself, you may need to visit AAA: Amigos Addicts Anonymous
